Well, as I’d researched it all depends on what you’re looking to do with your bike… For me, I prefer/went with front shocks and a hard tail because I wanted a trail bike that rides comfy on moderate terrain as well as a bike to commute with. In my experiences a full suspension is really squishy on the road where I’ve felt like I was pumping twice as hard to get moving… On the trail, though, I’m not doing any hardcore downhill style riding to where I’d need that much response from my bike vs terrain. That may all change when I move out west and the terrain is much more rugged than what I’m riding around here (in NC), but to get the most out of a <$600 bike, I’d say just front suspension is pretty good for most scenarios…
